  The Baptistry is part of the Piazza del Duomo where the cathedral and the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa are located. As part of our cruise, we were taken inside the baptistry. There are steps up to the upper level where you can see down into the gallery and also windows where you can see the piazza from a greater vantage point. It is said this structure also leans but it isn't as noticeable. The roof of the dome as you enter the piazza is tiled but the back side you can see from the cathedral side is much planer and due to costs. Be sure to stick around for the lady that comes in to sing so you can hear the acoustics of the building.

  Una pequeña maravilla, algo opacado, a ojos del turista, por la presencia cercana de la Torre. Todo el conjunto, no sólo el baptisterio, es hermoso.

  It is very nice building constructed in 1152, it is better from outside. The quality of sound and its propagation is very interesting.
