::Sometimes I find it is hardest to write about the world’s best known tourist attractions, like the Colosseum or the Eiffel Tower. I could give you a history lesson, but you can get that from just about any other website or from any Rick Steve’s or Frommers guidebook. I could rattle off numbers about its size, how many spectators it held, and how many entrances it had, but you’ll hear all that no matter if you decide to visit on a guided tour or on your own with an audio guide.

::The Colosseum was truly underwhelming. I flew 13 hours to Rome, and was disappointed. I stayed for like 20 minutes.

::You can only understand it's size in person, seeing pictures and the movies doesn't do it justice. Also one of the easier tourist attractions to see and find your way around. Although I don't agree with what went on here as a humanitarian. Standing in a place like, makes you understand the reality of past times. this is really eye opening and gives you more of a understanding on life and how I can be a better person and make the world a better place And at the same time respect the slaves and warriors who fought for their freedom. @StevenInspire

::The station is in front of the Colosseum, so you just need to step of the Metro, cross the street and you'll be facing this magnificent 2000 year old building. Easy to reach!

::Is there words to describe such historic landmark!! Enjoyed every moment of the colosseum!! Bought tickets online and didn’t wait more than 5 min. I didn’t have the special entrance/tour to allow going into different restricted areas but the general admission was more than enough! I would highly recommend not going in large groups due to the heavy tourism traffic. It would slow down the entrance quite a bit. Make sure to purchase tickets online!! It’s a must to skip the crowd and potential hour+ wait time.
