::How can you find a bakery with no sign. It's easy. Just go to Jewish Ghetto and follow your nose.you will find the corner from which aromas of cinnamon emerge. If you get there early enough in the morning, you will find freshly fried donuts.In the case of Boccione aka Il Forno del Ghetto aka ‘The Kosher bakery’, you will see the long lines at the certain time of the day. But on a Sunday, lines for this historic kosher bakery spill out far onto the piazza.

::While strolling the Jewish Ghetto, it’s hard not to notice the scent of fresh sweet dough that drifting from the doorway of Pasticceria Boccione. If you’re here, make sure to get their delicious pizza ebraica (Jewish pizza) and ricotta cake. Oh and their biscotti was heavenly too!

::I would come to Rome just to come here and get the pizza Ebraica. I can't stop thinking about it. This is a culinary must stop. There are lots of fresh original and traditional delectables here. Its a very small shop so you may have to wait your turn to get in. Make SURE you know the hours! They are closed from somewhere in August to somewhere in September. You will be so disappointed if you show up and see the scrawled sign on the door. We were on our last trip.

::It’s like traveling in time. Walking in this magnificent establishment the smell instantly starts working on the taste buds. They have a dry fruit, and pine nut pastry, so incredible that I ask any one I know heading to Rome, to bring back a doggy bag. I suggest visiting at the first day of your holiday to stock up and visit again on your last day, for a takeaway back home :-)

::You won't regret. Cakes that taste like sweet music. It is true what the others have written. These are the most amazing cakes we ever tasted. We bought 3 kinds. Very different with their own good consistency and taste. Lots of good ingredients. Come early. No standing in line, and many cakes. Normally we say that a shop is on the corner, but one this is the corner. Try it, even if you have to stand in line. You won't regret.
