  Rive gauche is a scam - anyone who has some expert knowledge in shoes can see that the grunty owner himself wears his shoes such that it destroys his feet. The shop lives more from his excentricesness than from the quality of consulting; shoes are ok but not top notch

  Purchased both in person and online and both times they were great. Best looking shoes I've ever had no question. Much better than any other men's shoes in Florence.

  Beautiful real handmade leather shoes and bags also accessories. They are friendly and speak various languages. Little inside, bit claustrophobic :) Not cheap though

  These shoes are amazing. I own a wide range of shoes, from high-end brands like Ferragamo to mainstream ones like Allen Edmonds and these are no less than them. Exceptional leather and handcraft manufacturing, excellent brown color, showcasing the attractiveness of the shoes (which is why black aren't such a huge hit because it's harder to appreciate). I do agree that the owner may be too irascible, but that's because often times people don't understand the care and passion this man has for his shoes. If someone quickly disregards your shoes as something that worth less than $50 (they usually have a price of $170-200) what would you think? I personally think the price is quite good according to the quality you are getting. The times I've been there, I have been treated very well by all of them, the owner, his son and his daughter. We have bought over four shoes and after using them for two years they are still impeccable. Sadly, they do not offer VAT refund but still makes them attractive.

  Rive Gauche is the best!! I have 2 purses from them and they are my favorite! Beautiful and durable! The first purse I have had for years and when I had a little wear and tear Stefano fixed it for me himself! Their quality is the best! They have always been super helpful and kind whenever I've gone in for a peak and all of their goods! Highly recommended!!
