::1906 में बनाया गया 'द वेस्टिन एक्सेलसियर' रोम के सबसे पुराने होटल में से एक है. इस होटल के कमरे 7 स्टार होटल जितने महंगे तो नहीं हैं. फिर भी आम इंसान यहां एक रात गुज़ार सकता है. पुरानी कला और नई तकनीक से निर्मित इस होटल में कैथेड्रल शैली के डोम्स, निजी फ़िटनेस रूम, सॉना और स्टीम बाथ और जकूज़ी समेत सभी सुविधाएं मौज़ूद हैं. इस होटल में रोम की संस्कृति और कला को देखा जा सकता है. होटल के अंदर 316 कमरे बनाए गए हैं. इसके आलावा इस होटल की ख़ास बात ये है कि यहां का 14,000 वर्ग फ़ीट क्षेत्र सिर्फ़ बैठने के लिए ही प्रयोग किया जाता है. होटल में पार्टी करनी हो, तो उसके लिए कम से कम 1000 लोगों का आराम से इंतज़ाम किया जा सकता है.

::The views from the sixth floor are amazing.... The room was more than I could imagine. and the only thing that bet the amazing room was the service. It was top 10 all time and I travel. When I come back I'm coming here. Please when you get here. I know Rome is amazing take look around the hotel the spa, bar and music are amazing. The food. I had to order room service because my feet was hurting from going round Rome. The jumbo club sandwich was awesome.

::Amazing hotel in the heart of Rome. You can just walk to all the sites from here. Clean large room super service. The interior of the hotel is so rich and beautiful that after the end of the day its great to relax in the lobby. The Internet speed in the lobby could be better. There is no view out of our room but can't complain the interior of the room is like a mini Palace.

::Servizio Insufficiente ed inadeguato alla classe economica sopratutto in occasione come il Gran Ballo Russo dove si attendevano 400 persone da tutto il mondo e si pecca di approssimazione nella quantità, non nella qualità del cibo e della organizzazione dei tavoli del buffet. In quella occasione nello stesso evento molti , non solo la sottoscritta, si sono resi conto che il tavolo delle bibite creava un vero tappo alla circolazione tra le sale. Inaccettabile è stato vedere l'attesa di tante persone in piedi che attendevano che venissero portate le vivande o I piatti puliti. I camerieri avrebbero almeno dovuto servire su singoli piattini gli antipasti in modo da contenere l'accaparramento e il contegno poco signorile dei primi avventori mentre gli altri rimanevano a bocca asciutta aspettando delle mezz ore in piedi! Non é un servizio che ci si attende da un 5 stelle! Ripeto un controllo della quantità nei piatti è dovero da parte del servizio, sarebbero bastati due camerieri che facevano le porzioni e avrebbero facilitato la scorrevolezze delle dame in crinolina! Dopo aver pagato per un buffet sentire persone che dicevano fra loro"quando usciamo andiamo a mangiare una pizza" non mi pare edificante per un hotel di tale calibro!!!
